The Little Rock Amateur Radio Club (W5UP) continues its long tradition of community emergency preparedness and public service communications across Central Arkansas.
During seasonal severe weather drills, club members establish primary voice links on local 2-meter repeaters and HF emergency nets, providing resilient backup messaging for local Emergency Management Agency (EMA) officials.
Through regular licensing classes, antenna building workshops, and public ham radio demonstrations, W5UP fosters technical education for new radio operators in Pulaski County.
